Take your yoga outdoors, add a long walk to it and create community and make new friends while your at it!
Join Janet and Kellie for another mindful hike and yoga event. This time, we'll stay on a flatter surface and hike at the Oso Trail in Mission Viejo. We'll meet at the Norman P. Community and Senior Center in the parking lot and hike about 3 miles along the trail enjoying the scenery of the stream, the celebration garden and do a walking meditattion in the plant maze. Our topic this time around is the 5 senses and forest bathing. How we can hone in on our senses to become more grounded and aware of own body and our needs. We will carry this into our yoga practice at the end of our walk on the green space at the center.Kellie will lead our meditation and Janet will lead our yoga practice.
Kellie: Kellie has recently obtained her Wilderness First Responder certification and is currently in school to obtain her masters in positive psychology. She has a love for mindfulness and has been wanting to incorporate it with her love for the outdoors, and to be able to share it with others :)
